1. Who we are

BabyBloom is a child growth tracking service available at babybloom.app. We are committed to protecting your family's privacy.

2. What data we collect

When you use BabyBloom, we may collect:

  • Child data: first name, date of birth, and growth measurements (weight, height, head circumference).
  • Account data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, display name, and profile photo.
  • No other personal data is collected. We do not ask for your address, phone number, or payment details unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

3. How we use your data

We use your data solely to display your child's growth measurements and percentile charts, sync your data across devices when signed in, and allow you to share data with a co-parent or caregiver you explicitly invite. We never use your data for advertising or profiling.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the European Union. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Only you and caregivers you invite can access your child's data.

5. Third-party services

We use Firebase (Google) for database, authentication, and hosting, and Google Fonts to load fonts. No other third parties have access to your data.

6. Data retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@babybloom.app.

8. Cookies

BabyBloom uses only essential cookies required for authentication (Firebase session cookies). No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

9. Children's data

BabyBloom is designed for use by parents and caregivers (18+). All child data is entered and controlled by an adult. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified within the app. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
